National Gay Blood Drive Day

Blood donations are always in high demand in order to save lives in need.

This Friday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. for National Gay Blood Drive Day, The LGBT Center on 4th Street in Santa Ana is hosting a blood drive with the Red Cross allowing gay and bisexual men to bring allies who will donate blood on their behalf and to raise awareness towards an FDA donation ban.

The FDA currently does not accept donations from men who have had male-to-male sexual relations.

An optional petition will also be available to sign in attempt to lift the donation ban by the FDA.

Yogurtland’s New Flavors Inspired by Candy Crush

Irvine based Yogurtland is jumping on the Candy Crush bandwagon by introducing its newest Candy Crush Saga inspired flavors made with real ingredients and an opportunity to win big at Yogurtland.

Through Sept. 13, Yogurtland's "Sweet Treats" campaign offers new handcrafted delicious fro-yo flavors and toppings (Blue Raspberry Gummi Bears, Frosted Donuts, Sugary Squirms, Chocolate Wafer Wharfs, Candy Fish and Color Bombs) with a collectible Candy Crush character spoon. Two collectible cups will be available over the ten-week promotion.

There’s also an instant win sweepstakes with hundreds of 'unlimited cup' prizes and 10 grand prizes offering winners free yogurt for a year!

The first two flavors – Orange Fizz Sorbet, Maple Donut (our favorite) are available now, and then two more flavors will be introduced every two weeks until Aug. 31. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Blue Raspberry Sorbet, Chocotastic! Sorbet (July 20); Salted Caramel Gelato, Candy Clouds (Aug. 3); Lemonade Lake, Cupcake Carnival (Aug. 17); Butterscotch and Minty Meadow (Aug. 31).
